The train is only one part of your travel day. Confirm the departure and arrival stations shown on your ticket and plan transport between your accommodation and each terminus.

Ask your hotel or driver to help plan a pickup time that allows for traffic, station entry, ticket collection and boarding. Avoid treating the train arrival time as your hotel arrival time.

Choose a class that suits your trip

Safari Rail accepts requests for Economy, First Class and Premium. Our homepage shows the ticket amount and assistance fee separately, so you can compare the full cost before sending a request.

Availability depends on your travel date and departure. Tell us if your date or class is flexible, particularly when arranging several passengers together.

Check the departure before arranging connections

Select your preferred departure in the booking form. We confirm availability and the journey details before payment; the options shown in the form are preferences, not a live timetable or seat inventory.

For a flight connection, a return trip, or a journey starting in Mombasa, contact us with your itinerary first. Leave enough time for the station transfer and check current times with Kenya Railways.

What to have ready

Prepare each passenger’s name and the identification details required for their ticket. Use an email address you can access while travelling and keep our WhatsApp contact handy.
